These instructions will help guide you through the installation of Nucleuz's DLP Policies in Microsoft Office 365 (O365) or Microsoft Exchange Online.
The following prerequisites are needed before installation:
See Microsoft's Messaging Policy and Compliance Permissions TechNet article for more information about permissions for compliance management.
Install Nucleuz DLP Policy in the Security & Compliance Center for Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, and/or Teams.
Extract the contents of the DLP Package archive onto a computer with access to your Office 365 Security & Compliance Center.
NOTE:
If your DLP Package archive contains one or more DLP Sensitive Types Rule Pack files, install them first using these installation instructions.
Sign into the Office 365 Security & Compliance Center with a user having the permissions specified in the Prerequisites above.
In the Office 365 Security & Compliance Center:
Note: Installing the Nucleuz DLP Policy into Exchange is now used for advanced installations and should only be done if directed by Nucleuz. Most deployments are done in Security & Compliance Center.
Extract the contents of the DLP Package archive onto a computer with access to your O365 or On-prem Exchange Admin Center.
Locate the DLP Policy Template file.
The DLP Policy filename typically starts with "Nucleuz" and ends with "DlpPolicyTemplate.xml".
For example, Nucleuz_Contoso_PII_DlpPolicyTemplate.xml.
NOTE:
If your DLP Package archive contains one or more DLP Sensitive Types Rule Pack files, install them first using these installation instructions.
NOTE:
If your DLP Package archive contains multiple DLP Policy files, repeat the following steps for each such file.
Sign into the Exchange Admin Center with a user who has the permissions specified in the Prerequisites above.
In the Exchange Admin Center:
In the Import DLP Policy screen:
Refresh the list of DLP Policies
